I'm Saara, I come from Finland and I'm your new language assistant here in Kyrkmons skola. I have already had a chance to say meet many of you in school yard, in the classroom or in the teachers lounge, but if we haven't met yet, come on and say hello!
My hometown in Finland is a city called Jyväskylä. The city is situated in the center of Finland, and has 130-170 000 inhabitants, many lakes and forests. One interesting piece of information is that Jyväskylä and Sundsvall are almost exactly in the same latitude level: Jyväskylä is being 62° 13' Noth, and Sundsvall 62° 23' North. As you can notice, there's only a couple of "latitude minutes" difference!
During my stay I will be concentrating on presenting you the nicest pieces of finnish culture, and helping you out with learning and teaching english language. I will start my year with Peter Andersson and his class (4c), but later on will move to Gabriella Fannkvist and her pack. (2c).
On my freetime I like to walk my dog Siru in Norra bärget, and play accordion. I'm also planning to find a nice choir, but haven't yet found a group from Sundsvall. I love culture and outdoors, so Sundsvall is a nice place for me to live in! Thankyou for the warm welcome that I have had here in Kyrkmons skola, I hope we'll get to do some nice projects together!
